5,000,000 spuds wasted in UK each day!!!!!

As we are now in the very middle of our winter feasting season, it came as a rotten shock to discover how much food waste there is in this country.

The WRAP site brought this home like a great clunking fist.
The table below shows the top five of avoidable food waste.
This should be national headlines!

Well, if it's not worth reporting by the BBC, this blogger is determined to help get the message across.
5 million spuds, 4 million apples plus the wasted bananas, tomatoes and oranges.
