Battens

This weekend we began fixing all vertical faces of Waxwings with cedar boarding.

Fixing tongued and grooved boarding

Great fun too, with Roger leading the way fixing battens. Shhh... Don't tell him but I fancy creating gaps from below the cedar boarding that will allow bats and even house sparrows in.

Jill, Dave and I followed on, sawing and fixing the boarding (secret nails so that nail holes can't be seen) with the nail gun.
