Tête-à-tête

Day 228 #365DaysWild

Our first tete-à-tête daffodils have come into flower on the lane.

Trev & Linda bought us a pot years ago - I think they

were barcode cancelled. Since then we’ve added more.

Tête-à-tête are such favourites. Introduced after WWII by British daffodil breeder Alec Gray. Vigorous but dwarf plants. Hugely reliable. Big bulbs as vigorous as rams testicles .‘Good doers’ as we gardeners say.

We’ve added later-flowering Jack Snipe daffodils (initially by mistake!) and now snowdrops are emerging.

Spring is coming!!!
