I condemn you to burn..!

It is important to compost as much 'waste' from the garden or allotment as possible.

But sometimes, only burning will do.

Here we have a pile of asparagus fern, a pile of blackberry and raspberry cuttings and some other woody waste that will be burnt this weekend. We need to have thought to our neighbours and ensure that the material is as dry as possible in order to avoid excess smoke.

The ash produced will be a fantastic potash feed for my fruit bed.

A man likes a good bonfire.
