Rogue?

Day 210 #365DaysWild

Weeding the ‘Rogue Border’ is complete!

Rogue because there’s couch grass and other naughties in there. Ivy is pushing its luck.

Now, snowdrops are poised. Even more this year following the damp summer and propagation after our annual division of bulb clumps.

Primroses still slumber. Each year there are more flowers because we divide mature clumps after flowering.
Competition has been reduced and so that’s more fun for beeflies which pollinate primroses.

Everywhere has had a leafmould mulch. I’ve thrown lots of short sticks and logs down too.

Now over to the soil and wood fungi which will encourage invertebrates which will encourage mammals and birds and larger mammals and birds…

Ok. The rest of the Woodland Garden to go..
